There’s the expression of being “above the fray” when one is distant or removed from some difficult struggle, such as financial stress. One might think of a billionaire up in their penthouse literally above the concerns of the homeless wandering the streets. I spent the past couple years on the road criss-crossing America for my day job. From this arose many of the snippets you’ll find within this album. Amidst all the struggles, basic goodness within the hearts of the people I meet was the common theme. The cover photo is from my driver’s view criss-crossing the plains of Texas.
