Can’t Hug Tighter
You’re in a crowd under a black light
Her shirt is glowing like a neon poster
And you’re still rocking after midnight
Living life like it’s some rollercoaster
You walk her home and she’s just smiling at you
You’re out of breath but there’s no hesitation
It’s been a year and you’ve been steady and true
Could this be something or some infatuation
You love that girl, she’s got personality
She’ll tell you all about her individuality
And she’s in touch, with all her specialities
You hold her close as you can in practicality
You can’t hug her tighter (3x)
Waking up to the sound of dishes
To the smell of bacon on a Sunday morning
You wanna smother her with all of your kisses
But if you’re not listening, then you’ll get no warning
She thinks you’re cool, she’d like to spend her life with you
But there’s a rule, before you ever say I do
Not too tight and not too loose you see
We all need our space and individuality
You can’t hug her tighter (2x)
She likes it clean and you like it comfortable
But when she’s in the scene everything is wonderful
You love that girl, she’s got personality
She’ll tell you all about her individuality
And she’s in touch, with all her sexuality
But you behave or you’ll hear of this morality
You can’t hug her tighter (3x)
But you hold close as close as you can
