I Am Ready

Riding to the airport
Through the crisp morning air
There’s a haze through the headlights
And I’m still dazed and unaware
Of all that’s before me

Handing them my ticket
For a ride to the unknown
I take may seat
Accelerating forward
From my youth with only clouds
Beneath my feet
Over a crescent blue horizon
That I now greet

There’s the Moon going round
There’s the passing of stars cross the sky
Everything is in motion
Even a flower in bloom
With the wind under wing watch me fly

Crossing that border
Hitching rides and catching trains
In a foreign land
I’m a stranger to myself
This is all so new
I can’t believe just who I am
Over a crescent blue horizon
Where I now stand

So yes it took me these years
To find this final frontier
It can be tough to tell you’re running in place
For all trouble I’ve been
For every struggle within
