Horseshoe
Well I would not be here
Had my dad not lied to my mom
That he didn’t smoke he never drank
He was never tense. He was always calm
And my dad would not be around
Had his grandma not gone into town
Pulled by her friends to the village dance
Where she met grandpa by slight slim chance
And his great great grandpa’s
He was one lucky guy
When In the midst of a battle
An arrow just missed his eye
He had a horseshoe over his head
And he stuck, he stuck to the positive
And over a rainbow he was led
That’s right, an eye on the positive
Cause sooner or later we’ll all be dead
No no, that’s quite the negative
Here we are alive instead
That’s right, accent the positive
And then 20,000 years ago
There came this girl that I now know was pretty
Oh so pretty
Cause she caught the attention of all the lads
Especially that one my super great dad
They hit it off and had a child
My super grand mom who always smiled
And was pretty
She had a horseshoe over her head
That’s right she stuck to the positive
And over a rainbow she was led
That’s right, an eye on the positive
Cause sooner or later we’ll all be dead
No no, that’s quite the negative
Here we are alive instead
That’s right, accent the positive
Instrumental
You got a horseshoe over your head
That’s right, stick to the positive
You’re sleeping on moonbeams in your bed
That’s right an eye on the positive
In a billion years from now we’ll be dead
No no, that’s quite the negative
Here we are alive instead
That’s right, accent the positive
