Forever Green
It’s been 50 years since the revolution
You’d think by now we’d know our place
We had a dream. We had a solution.
We had fire. We had grace
But now we’re tired. We’ve lost the pace
Mother Earth you’d think she’d have lenience
For those molecules we think so great
Plastic fibers are such a convenience
Lock in step we find our fate
Taking control it’s a human trait
An unseen rate of change
And everything is strange, that’s clear
But where there’s love there’s hope
Against a slippery slope that here
Hey now, hey, are you with me
Are you, tuned in to the modern radio
Can you, dig deep, look in all directions
There’s the Sun above and so much beauty down below, So let’s go
In our youth we had such vision
We saw the dangers of machines
Though on a path toward a collision
We’ve still the chance for coming clean
Will you give your blood to be forever green
Hey now, hey, are you with me
Are you, tuned in to the modern radio
Can you, dig deep, look in all directions
There’s the Sun above and so much beauty down below, So let’s go
