Here We Are

Having some fun
Strolling in the summer Sun
Collecting shells one by one
By the water and waves
A day at the beach
Where timelessness has much to teach
Finally a life within reach
For all that we crave

Getting so lost in the afternoon
With one foot in the sand and it’s ending too soon

By a fire so bright
And under every start that lights the night
You feel the warmth within you ignite

Holding a faith that helps you believe
There’s more to this Earth than the web that we weave

Working toward expectations
