Billionaire Blues
It’s really not so easy being a billionaire
Ya, I got yachts and mansions and a golf course or two
And I drive around in my yellow colored Lamborghini
With movie stars and the president of China too
Well maybe I shouldn’t complain
But everyday’s just the same, standing in these shoes
They may say corruption bought me
But the only thing money ever got me was the blues
I’ve got the bill, the billionaire blues
I’ve got the bill, the billionaire blues
When a billionaire dies does he go to billionaire heaven
Does a billionaire’s dog go to billionaire heaven too
I heard it said that inside everybody’s equal
And being alive and well is good revenue
So I asked the Dalai Lama
Why my money always give me drama, on this he chewed
He said that my satisfaction
Was a non-existent abstraction
Just like these blues
I’ve still got the bill, the billionaire blues
With all the money in the world I don’t know what to do
I really don’t envy folks who win the lottery
At first it may feel real nice, but then you pay your dues
People coming out of the woods, out of every corner
Saying brother I know you can spare a buck or two
And I’ll tell you what the facts is
You’re gonna lose it all to taxes, this is true
Then your love will say, ah honey
Don’t you know it’s only money, come over you
You got the bill the billionaire blues
If only everybody in the world could have it too
Then we’d all have the bill, the billionaire blues
We’d find a paradise of pain with the billionaire blues
