Open Road

All I need is a plot of land
I’ll build my own castle
With my own two hands
A loving wife
And a beautiful child
A steady job, and I’m living in style
All I need is the universe
I gotta understand, I gotta get there first
Social freedom,
Planetary care
These are the things I think that we should all share

In times of plenty I’ll carry us forward
When times are tough, I’ll buckle us down
I’m so glad we see that we need each other around
And I’m not afraid to say it’s God’s creation
And I’m not afraid to say I just don’t know
Either way life is a celebration that rolls
Down this open road

When I first saw you
What a beautiful sight
You thought you knew me
You were more than polite

And I’ve learned from you
What it means to be free
And I must admit
There’s a little bit of you here in me
