Star Struck Girl
There’s a feeling stuck inside my head
It bounces round and round she said
I can’t explain. Somehow you’ll have to trust me
Like a memory hanging by a thread
Now nothing more than a shade of red
I sense that you and I together must be
As old as the galaxy churning
Like the Moon we’re forever returning
My star struck girl
Under the blankets and the night time sphere
Which stretches on from where we peer
She holds my hand and shows me constellations
The meaning of it all is clear
We’re just a speck so hold me dear
She kisses me at once no hesitation
And she sings, oh, I can’t wait for tomorrow
When the Sun eclipses all sorrow
My star struck girl
She often tries to tell me
Open your heart and open your mind
Without fear you will find your passion
Blossoming now in the seat of your soul
Shades of red they streak the sky
I’m awoken by the calling cry
Of the ocean from the dunes the daybreak glistens
Snug beside me is that girl
Who sees the wisdom of the world
And for good advice she’ll say don’t talk, just listen
And for now it’s good-bye to sorrow
I’ve found a love who’ll take care of tomorrow
My star struck girl
