Building B
Gathered in this garden across from the Sun
Sinking as the world it turns the night has begun
As surely as the new day somewhere arises
The rhythms of our lives still bring surprises
We came as lost souls and maybe just a bit naïve
But we’ve seen it all and all is what we believe
And here is where we find comfort in a smile or grin
And the jokes keep sounding better when laced with gin
So here’s a toast to my forever friends
Here in Building B
To all the different paths we have followed
And to our camaraderie

“Moonlight in Vermont” comes from Gus on the keys
And John is writing poems about the falling of leaves
Murray has the idea that we should commemorate
With a song that goes to the heart of why we all celebrate
And she sings:
You may have memories and honors
But they no longer sway
What you use to be, it no longer counts
It’s how you live just today
So here’s a toast to my forever friends
Here in Building B
To all the different paths we have followed
And to our camaraderie
