Higher Than You
Sometimes when I wake up in the comfort of my old bed I just stare out the window
And I’m thinking about all there is to do. All there is to do all there is to do.
There’s snow gently falling outside it’s a crystalline wonder
It’s another day for each dream to come alive as I tell myself it’s
Higher than you
Higher than you
With so much to do
It’s
Higher than you
When the sky at night is clear I gaze at the stars in fascination
As they’re churning out the elements of which we are all made that’s our creation
And what if we’re the only ones ever to witness these feelings
What if we are if we are
What if we’re just repeating what’s been felt countless of times before
And I mean countless of times
There’s a tap on the door and in strolls a beautiful woman
She leans over and whispers wake up you sleepy head
I grab her waist and we tumble in the sheets laughing
The smell of cinnamon toast and oatmeal beckons my attention, she says I’m
Thinking of you
What more can I do
In thinking it through
Ain’t Nothing
Higher than you
Ahh, We all have needs and the greatest gift is realization
Giving you a senseless sense of hope, love, peace, and optimism
All across the world there are people in and out of it
Grasping for the heart of it. Is that all we do, all we do
There are babies who need water, that’s the other side of living
There’s so much to do much to do
Higher than you
There’s so much to do
It’s higher than you
Higher than you
