Kissing the Ground

A music video honoring life and nature and in memory and celebration of Ted Brattstrom.

Kissing the Ground

Flying over oceans to the land
Mountains rising up from roots of fire
A panther in a trance before the leap
And as night cocoons the light she falls to sleep

On a little blue marble falling around
Bathing in starlight gravity bound
For a billion years and a billion to come
Both our cradle and grave this is where we are from

Kissing the ground and the water in this way
Hugging the air as it hugs you as if to say
You are you because of me
And me because of you

Lush and green a gentle meadow on the hill
Dusty and brown the scorpion stands still

A buffalo thunder shaking the plains
A full moon glistens through the monsoon rains
For a billion years and a billion to come
Both our cradle and grave this is where we are from

Kissing the ground and the water in this way
Hugging the air as it hugs us back each day
You are you because of me
And me because of you

    Truly inspiring
This is Ted for sure. It makes me smile and it brings tears to my eyes. The gamut of emotions flow like a mountain stream as I listen to this over and over. Tied to memories of life and adventures. Mahalo -Many thanks
